It was founded by Joseph van &#8216;t Hoff, building on the experience he gained in the wave energy industry through his PhD at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.qub.ac.uk\/research-centres\/cerc\/ResearchGroups\/MarineResearchGroup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Marine Research Group<\/a> at Queen&#8217;s University Belfast and his work at Aquamarine Power.<\/p>\n<p>Through close cooperation with ex-colleagues from Aquamarine Power a full range of development services can be provided.<\/p>\n<p>Marine Systems Modelling has been involved in a number of projects for clients in the wave and tidal industry, including projects funded by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hie.co.uk\/growth-sectors\/energy\/wave-energy-scotland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Wave Energy Scotland<\/a> under the Control Systems, Novel Wave Energy Converter (NWEC) and Power Take Off (PTO) technologies calls.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Marine Systems Modelling is an independent consultancy offering a comprehensive range of modelling services for the marine renewables industry.
