Services include:<\/p>\n<p>Numerical modelling:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determining the most appropriate modelling techniques (frequency or time domain, analytical, numerical, which software, e.g. Matlab, OrcaFlex, Python) for the stage of concept\/device development and for the intended use of the outputs<\/li>\n<li>Designing numerical test plans, including timeline and required hardware resources<\/li>\n<li>Hydrodynamic model development, including WAMIT\/Nemoh, Mathworks, OrcaFlex<\/li>\n<li>Model calibration and validation using data from suitably designed tank tests<\/li>\n<li>Parametric optimisation of WEC design against suitable metrics (e.g. minimise harmful loads as well as maximise performance)<\/li>\n<li>Hydraulic modelling of Power Take-Off systems<\/li>\n<li>Control design and modelling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Physical modelling:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Designing tank test programmes, following best practice guidelines (as defined by EquiMar, EMEC, University of Edinburgh)<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing and evaluating test programmes, model design and tank setup<\/li>\n<li>Designing instrumentation for scale models<\/li>\n<li>Executing tests, including sense-checking of data during tests<\/li>\n<li>Data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Levelised Cost Of Energy modelling<\/li>\n<li>Assistance in preparing funding proposals<\/li>\n<li>Full scale data analysis and model validation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We offer full support, from design to analysis, for numerical and experimental test programmes.
